Samantha and Jimmy had the most perfect wedding day at Red Gate Farms in Savannah! They were the most fun couple to celebrate with!
I was so excited to shoot this wedding with Corey! He doesn’t always get to second shoot with me, but when he does, it’s always the perfect opportunity for us to spend a little extra time together while celebrating marriage. We started out with Jimmy and his fellas, who were hilarious to hang out with while we shot their groomsmen formals. If you couldn’t tell from Jimmy’s gigantic smile, they had us all in stitches as they handed him his celebratory cigar, and told him to GQ it up for his “groomals!” (Groomals is just a fun way to say guy version of bridals!)
We led Samantha to him for their first look under the Spanish moss, and it was the sweetest moment! There may not have been any tears during this moment, but there were lots of smiles and kisses, and I think that’s just as good! Samantha even made sure to do a little twirl in her dress for Jimmy to get the full effect before they brought in their adorable pups! They were also dressed for the occasion!
When it was time to say, “I do,” Samantha rode in on a horse carriage with her Dad in true southern belle fashion, and it was everything! After they exchanged vows, we even got to ride away on the carriage to do their couple’s portraits under the “love tree.” It was so beautiful and perfectly southern, as they cuddled together beneath the towering trees draped with moss.
Finally, we headed back to the reception where Samantha and Jimmy shared their first dance, and ended the night under the twinkling lights.
It was such an honor being a part of their beautiful, southern wedding day!
