Trina & Hasting | Hopeland Gardens Minimony 2020

Oh, 2020. What a year it has been. It has brought about so much uncertainty for couples everywhere, leaving them questioning what the best option will be for their wedding day. Some have cancelled, some have rescheduled. Some have downsized, and some have decided to keep it short and sweet, which is exactly what Trina and Hasting did! When Trina reached out to me just about a week prior to the ceremony, she ended up later telling me, “There’s no way this lady is going to be available at such short notice.” Surprise! She explained that it would only be her, Hasting, and their officiant (who, by the way, is Hasting’s first cousin!)

Y’all, I love intimate ceremonies. Heck, I love a big shebang, too! But having a front seat to something SO very intimate and special really warms the heart like nothing else.

We gathered under the towering trees at Hopeland Gardens in Aiken, SC, and Trina and Hasting exchanged their vows. Once they made it official, we proceeded with portraits right afterward, and that was all she wrote! They even did their special handshake, of wiggling their fingers together, to celebrate! Everything fell perfectly in line for this day, including all of their vendors (florist, cake artist for their reception, and myself), and Trina’s dress was even handmade by a dear friend as a wedding gift. It truly doesn’t get much better than that.

I love that they didn’t let anything get in the way of them becoming husband and wife, and am so honored to have been a part of this union, whether it was only us 4 present, or 100+.

Congratulations, Trina and Hasting!
